I studied at the San Francisco Art Institute and at Sonoma State University. Two of my most influential teachers were William Morehouse and Walter Kuhlman, who gave their students the freedom to develop their own character in their work,

When observing a landscape, it gives me more than a photographic image, but a certain mood and atmosphere, which I try to bring out in my painting, and I feel rewarded if it evokes a similar response from the viewer.
